FlexPOWER Bundle Survey Results - Executive Summary 

As of December 31, 2019

We had a total of 1,017 customers respond to at least one question on this survey. Of these respondents, 52% ranked “Affordability” as their most important energy consideration. Additionally, 17% ranked “Energy Reliability” as their top energy consideration, and 17% chose “Environmental Responsibility” as their leading consideration. Fewer than 10% of the respondents favored “Safety,” “Security,” or “Energy Resilience.”  Survey respondents also were asked about their familiarity with CPS Energy’s programs and initiatives: 653 respondents answered this question, while 364 customers elected not to answer. This question allowed respondents to select multiple programs and initiatives. Of the 653 customers who answered the question, 81% indicated they are familiar with our Energy Rebates. Slightly over half are familiar with Weatherization (51%), Community Solar (49%), and Wind Power (48%). Also, a large number of respondents are familiar with the Deely Coal Unit closure (35%); Flexible Path (32%); Save For Tomorrow Energy Plan (30%) and Energy Storage (26%). While a smaller amount, 18% indicated they are familiar with FlexPOWER Bundle.

FlexSTEP Survey Results - Executive Summary 

As of December 31, 2019

A total of 862 customers responded to at least one question on this survey. Of these respondents, 25% indicated they participated in at least one Save For Tomorrow Energy Plan (STEP) program. Also, 61% of respondents indicated a willingness to pay extra to support energy efficiency and conservation programs and initiatives, with 46% indicated they’re willing to pay an additional $1 - $5 monthly. Nearly half (47%) of the customers responding to this survey ranked “Affordability” as their most important energy consideration.
